I purchased DD Offroad’s 2022–2024 Ford Maverick SYNC 4 12‑Inch OEM Upgrade Kit, and overall, I couldn’t be happier with the end result. First, I want to give major props to Joseph from the DD Offroad tech team. His customer service was truly outstanding. We ran into some challenges with the APIM during installation, and Joseph never once gave up on resolving the issue. His troubleshooting skills, technical knowledge, and persistence were impressive. Having worked in IT customer service for over 33 years, I know firsthand how frustrating complex technical issues can be—but Joseph stayed patient, professional, and committed until everything was fully resolved. That level of dedication is rare these days. Bravo, and thank you, Joseph! As for the SYNC 4 12‑inch OEM Upgrade Kit, the installation was surprisingly easy. The plug‑and‑play design made the process straightforward, and once everything was sorted, the system works beautifully. Upgrading my 2022 Ford Maverick from the factory 8‑inch screen to the 12‑inch display was absolutely worth the cost. The larger screen completely transforms the interior and gives the truck a much more modern, premium feel. Between the quality of the kit and the exceptional support from DD Offroad—especially Joseph—I can confidently recommend this upgrade to anyone considering it.
Very happy customer with my decision to go through DD Offroad for my jump from an 8" screen uconnect 4 system to my new 12" uconnect 5 system! Everything from the price, (much lower then competitors), all the way to step by step instructions on the install, they make everything plug and play. These guys are professionals in everyway. I made the mistake of ordering it wrong, but they made sure I got everything I needed to install the job, and to top it off, it didn't seem to matter when I reached out, they were always quick to respond and help however they could. If your on the fence about doing an upgrade, put those worries aside and go with DD Offroad for your upgrade, you really wont be sorry. Loving my new set up.
How to start ???? Speechless….. those guys are Amazing. First of all I want to say thanks to DD Offroad, I’ve been trying to get a decent 12” screen for my Ram 2500, I ve tried some chinese ones which are piece of junk dont waste your money, save and buy DD product. Struggled with my 8.4” screen Uconnect 5 radio with it continuously not loading and multiple attempts to reach out to manufacturers warranties as truck was only out of warranty by 250 miles, needless to say they were no help, I came across DDoffroad after researching the net and blogs, I contacted via text from number on there web site which to my surprise I was contacted back in minutes from them, I explained situation to them and they confirmed everything I had read on internet that radios do have these common issues, so I planned on upgrading and the technician literally sent me multiple options I could go with at prices no one could ever compete with as I have researched this upgrade for days and knew what to expect, to my surprise they were $100’s of dollars less, I went with the Uconnect 5 12” screen upgrade and to my surprise it was an absolutely plug Ang play unit that took me 35 minutes to install with one small hiccup that was clearly my fault and was corrected after a text to the technician who replied back in less than 5 minutes he truly knows the ins and outs of these installs, technician texted me back hours later to follow up on my unit and my opinion on it, all I could tell him was I absolutely am amazed with it and there services they provided me, if anyone is thinking of an upgrade spend the little extra and get the OEM and not a knock off unit as there are clearly differences that I’ve compared to a friends unit and he is rather disappointed he went the root he did. All I can say is I’m extremely impressed with the unit and DDoffroads services and look forward to using them for future equipment upgrades.
