Installed in my 18 Raptor, as I wanted the wireless Apple CarPlay. Happy to say that works perfectly. HVAC controls are not as seamless as the factory. Button response is definitely slower. And auto climate for remote start no longer works. Just have set the temp where you want it before you hop out. But all functions do work, and my truck feels very updated. Tech support is very quick and helpful. You will really appreciate responsiveness and support. With the cost of new trucks nowadays, this will keep content for a few more years.
Just worked out the bugs in my new system. My 2019 F150 is now upgraded and looks like a new truck. Joseph is amazing, patient, and unbelievably helpful. Yes, I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in a new look with plenty of additional features.

Upgraded my 2025 Ram1500 big horns 8.4 infotainment to the 14.5 system. DD Offroad was excellent, fast shipping and I had a few issues installing which Joseph was on top of until we figured it out. Love the new radio, everything works right out of the box, transfered my wifi and connected services and only need to contact Surius to transfer service tonthe new radio ID. Very easy upgrade and I love the new look.
The OEM Uconnect 5 unit works great and fit like a glove! All functions were retained. Back up camera and steering wheel controls work great! Truly plug and play.

Absolutely love this upgrade! 2015 f150 platinum and I needed to upgrade to sync 4. All functions work including 360 surround view cameras. This looks exactly like a new 2026 f150! Everything was as advertised, and any questions I had were immediately answered!

This product was just as advertised: a drop-in replacement for the SYNC3 and too-small touchscreen in the Ford Maverick. The SYNC4 APIM and the 12" screen are both official Ford parts, and DD Offroad's value added comes in two forms: a wire harness so you can integrate the SYNC4 with the Maverick's existing wiring, and a molded plastic bezel for the 12" screen that has the compatible mounting points for the Maverick (the 12" screen comes pre-installed in the bezel, so there are really just two units to install: the APIM and the screen). I included a shot of the back of the 12" screen to show the mounting points. Required cables are included with the kit.
The hardest part of the installation was unplugging the existing SYNC3 module's electrical connections.
There's very little space to move your hands around back in there, and no way to see what you're doing so it's all by feel. After doing it the once I'm sure it would take me half as long to go through the process a second time. Installation is highly reversible, and there is no issue if you wanted to reinstall the SYNC3 and small screen.
The install kit includes a QR code that points to a YouTube installation video, but I'd also recommend looking for more videos--one video may show some parts of the installation process really well, while others show other parts really well.
In this end, it looks factory done. You can see the before-and-after in the attached pics. One of my concerns when I was ordering was whether the larger screen would actually be too large, but the "after" photo is taken from the point of view of my face. I'm not a tall guy (about 5'9"), and I have no problem seeing the base of the windshield, so there is no extra hassle maneuvering in tight spaces.
I did have a couple questions about the unit after installation, and Joe was very quick to respond with good, workable answers.
So yeah. I'm pretty happy I did this upgrade. The wireless CarPlay is more reliable than the wireless USB+WiFi dongle I had to have in the previous version. I can also split the screen to see both CarPlay and a selectable window from the Ford side of the infotainment (e.g., you can have the Ford nav map up and running next to CarPlay it you want, but you can also have stuff like the radio station display).
You also have immediate touchscreen access to other parts of the infotainment system along the bottom of the screen, rather than having to hit a hardware button before moving on from there.
Adding new phones to the list is really simple. All this additional functionality is because of the SYNC4 upgrade--the SYNC3 is missing a lot of what I described here.

This process was not easy, to say the least. With the help from DD, things never felt unattainable. Making sure all connections are secured properly ended up being the key for me. I needed to disessemble after having everything in place before i discovered the large adapter cable was not placed and secured properly. Initially my knobs and rear camera did not work, which was because the adapter was not properly connected. Lesson learned and what i could contribute to others, is to take your time and make sure all connections are securely connected. The help DD gave throughout this process meant the world to me and helped me to never give up and always have hope it was going to all work out. It was all worth it. The screen and wireless connectivity to carplay is wonderful. I could not be happier. Thank you DD team!
I was concerned ordering something that costs this much money from a company other than RAM / Mopar for my 2023 Ram 1500. I read other reviews (which were all positive), so I decided to do it. I placed the order and received it about 4 days later. Great packing material and screen was amazing. My screen shipped with one incorrect wire, but Joseph at DD Offroad immediately got it shipped out overnight. It was a little frustrating while we were doing the trouble shooting with the first wire the first night I received the screen. But I took some pictures of the wiring and Joseph spotted the problem (wrong wire) immediately. And another thing,,, I initially emailed him at 11:30 pm at night so he would get the email in the morning but he responded immediately and continued to email back and forth with me until about 1:30 in the morning.
Bottom line we got it to work. The new bigger screen looks incredible and I am very happy. It's one thing to say you had a great experience when everything goes right. But a truer measure is when something goes wrong and someone steps up and goes above and beyond to take care of the customer. Joseph did just that. If you are nervous about ordering an expensive upgrade from DD Offroad, have no fear. If I could leave 10 stars on the review I would.

Joseph was fantastic! I had issues with my installation all along the way, some of it my own fault (I didn't have a Lariat lux, just a Lariat, and close Lariat lux), and some of it was harness issues that took quote some time to diagnose together, but he worked with me for the better part of 2 weeks to get it resolved. The entire time he was patient, and very accommodating. Overall, it works great, so much better than my original system, much more responsive too! llove it!

The APIM in my 2022 F350 failed. Ordered a replacement through DD Offroad and had it programmed for my VIN.
Very prompt shipping. Unfortunately first unit arrived but did not play nicely with rest of modules.

Very happy customer with my decision to go through DD Offroad for my jump from an 8" screen uconnect 4 system to my new 12" uconnect 5 system! First of all I want to say thanks to DD Offroad, I’ve been trying to get a decent 12” screen for my Ram 2500, I ve tried some chinese ones which are piece of junk dont waste your money, save and buy DD product. Struggled with my 8.4” screen Uconnect 5 radio with it continuously not loading and multiple attempts to reach out to manufacturers warranties as truck was only out of warranty by 250 miles, needless to say they were no help, I came across DDoffroad after researching the net and blogs, I contacted via text from number on there web site which to my surprise I was contacted back in minutes from them, I explained situation to them and they confirmed everything I had read on internet that radios do have these common issues, so I planned on upgrading and the technician literally sent me multiple options I could go with at prices no one could ever compete with as I have researched this upgrade for days and knew what to expect, to my surprise they were $100’s of dollars less, I went with the Uconnect 5 12” screen upgrade and to my surprise it was an absolutely plug Ang play unit that took me 35 minutes to install with one small hiccup that was clearly my fault and was corrected after a text to the technician who replied back in less than 5 minutes he truly knows the ins and outs of these installs, technician texted me back hours later to follow up on my unit and my opinion on it, all I could tell him was I absolutely am amazed with it and there services they provided me, if anyone is thinking of an upgrade spend the little extra and get the OEM and not a knock off unit as there are clearly differences that I’ve compared to a friends unit and he is rather disappointed he went the root he did. All I can say is I’m extremely impressed with the unit and DDoffroads services and look forward to using them for future equipment upgrades.

Just installed the 12” SYNC 4 upgrade in my F-150 and I’m blown away. The factory screen looks super clean and completely transforms the interior. The Full Screen Wireless CarPlay works flawlessly and everything feels faster and more modern. The kit was well packaged, easy to install, and the company’s support was awesome from start to finish. Couldn’t be happier with the upgrade or the service. It feels like I’m driving a brand new truck.
The infotainment computer for my 2023 F150 Raptor had gone bad. Specifically the APIM Module. Center screen was stuck black.
Ford wanted $1700 to install the module on a truck with less than 50k miles on it, which I thought was ridiculous. Turns out I was right.
I was able to source the exact part from DD Off-road for a fraction of the quoted price by dealer and I just put it in myself in an hour. These guys saved me a bunch of money.
On top of the savings, their customer service was fantastic. I was helped by Joseph throughout this process who was communicative, even after hours. He also made sure I had my new module in a timely manner and all necessary software/updates were completed prior to shipping, so the module was simply plug and play.
10/10 experience, highly recommend 👍
