I need the one connected to the pitman arm on an XJ. It seems like, since I did the 3" lift this one got tweaked. It's not sitting flat against the pitman arm.  I see on websites, listings for outer and inner. Which is the one I need? Should I just get a longer pitman arm instead?

for this on the 3" lifts, you should not just need to do a longer pitman arm.

if the tie rod is bad you should only need to replace it. you dont need to worry about the pitman till your over 5".

not sure on the part number, but i recommend moog parts. they are the best

You can usually grab the drag link and rotate it to an extent.  That's probably why its not level with the pitman arm.  At 3 inches of lift I haven't had to make any changes to my steering geometry.  If you are going to run a drop pitman arm I would reccomend a waggy pitman arm.  It wouldn't provide much drop but it has a slightly longer throw.  But if you are too low to run a longer or lower pitman arm, it could cause some binding in the steering.

I went ahead and snapped a couple pictures of my drag link when I rotate it.

Here it is normal:

And here is when I turn the drag link:

Grab it near where the steering stabilizer is bolted to the drag link and give it a turn, see if it rolls to a normal angle.

Thanks for posting that Casper! Mine looks like it just needs to be rotated. I suppose haveing extra parts is never a bad thing anyway.
