ok, so i've seen a few locations. but i'm not sure which one to go with. so can you guys give me some options as to nice locations to mount the antenna?  thank you

I mounted mine on the rear hatch, just below the glass.  This isn't a good place to mount a CB antenna, as I later found out, because the metal roof line interferes when you transmit.

 

Ideally, you want to mount the base of your antenna above your ground plane (the body of the Jeep).  This means mount it on top of the cab, or one of the fenders.  Not ideal for going off-road with a rigid antenna, but a short rubber antenna might work better.

 

One of the things I'm going to do this year is move the CB antenna to a better location.  I run a 4' fiberglass whip right now, Cobra LTD 25 radio.

There is also the option that you can mount it by the tail light. I dont know who sells it but I have one on the trail ZJ.
