I'm planning on installing quick disconnects before we start wheeling. I'm sure everyone is sick of waiting for me at Cliff's while I take off my swaybar end links. LOL
I was looking at getting these from Rusty's:
http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/m…..de=SUS_ACC
They are definetly a great price. Was wondering if anyone here was running them and if so do you like them?
Thanks!

They look a lot like the old RE one which where a pain to hook back up.
You could make ones that worked just as good in about an hour with some scrap, stock links and a wleder…
It think JKS makes the nicest ones myself.

John, I have been totally happy with these from BDS
http://www.bds-suspension.com/…..pid=124451
Have been totally happy with them, they are easy to unhook and hook back up for the ride home. I would HIGHLY recommend these. The cost isnt that either. I have them on the ZJ as well. I would go with BDS!!!

What I like about the Rusy's ones is that they look easy to do and are inexpensive. I need help sometimes sliding my JKS ones back on im my Jeep isnt level. "Hey bro, can you lift up on my bumper for a quick second? Thanks!"

By nature of what a sway bar does you are going to need to have the Jeep on pretty level ground no matter what style of disconects you have.
Remember a sway bar is justa big torsion bar, or spring, set up to keep the body on your jeep from rolling side to side which means that if the Jeep is not level you once you get one side hooke dup you are trying to push against that spring to get the other side hooked up. The JKS ones are pretty nice because you have a anchor pin with a chamfer on it that makes it easy to get started and whack on with a mallet if it's close but not perfect.
As much as I hate 'Big Dick's Suspension' I have to admit that those are pretty nice disconnects for the price, I like them better then the Rusty's or RE ones.

really dude? I think we got what a sway bar does.
what I was implying that there is a more play in those discos than you see on average, and they were a pain to hook up in my side lot which is almost level ground, but your vehicle weight might be favoring one side because of the high spots.
they also rubbed on my stock tracbar mount, so i ended up getting a hd.
so long story short. Personally I belive you would be happier with the bds ones. and I will be switching to those in the near future

If you understood how a sway bar works you would not expect to be able to connect it on anything but level ground so I figured maybe you could use some info on it.
But that is only really half of it; did it ever occur to you that responses on message boards are not just for you? I tend to put lots of detail in my posts, often more then has to do with the origional question, because people who know less then you will read this thread looking for info and get their questions answered. I mean I am pretty sure a lot of you know how to center your front end but I did a write up because there are people out there who don't know how yet…
You know in over 10 years of contributing to many different message boards for a variety of things this is the only one where I have been chastised for putting up to much info and recived as unhappily as I am here; Even TIJA was nicer to me then this and I was outright mean there!
FYI, if you are on level ground and it is hard to hook up your sway bar in my experiance you have a preload issue, an axle centering issue or an adjustment issue with the disconnects. Also, sometimes hooking one side up and then cycling the suspension makes them line up properly.

Hey that's neat! Cool setup Justin.
I had myself sold on the Rusty's set, but after hearing you guys I might consider waiting to get the BDS'. Hmmm… I'll have to see what's in the bank account.
Thanks for everyone's replies!

I would honestly go with the BDS disconnects John, they are well worth the money, they are totally easy to unhook and hook back up and you owe that Cherokee something nice, since you ran ZJ coils on it, lol jk buddy.
