WRANGLER-STYLE GRAB HANDLES WRITE-UP

Order your own! PRODUCT LINK

Weall know the stock XJ grab handles are pretty lame and flimsy. I was

hoping someone else had already found a away to swap them for more

rugged wrangler-style handles, but I couldnt find any write ups. So I

decided to order my own set and give it a shot. For $20 on eBay and a

quick trip to the Home Depot, this mod looks and functions great. It

definitely gives my XJ interior a more rugged look and proves to be more

comfortable for passengers.

the strap as seen next to the stock handle (right).

Above: I had a 4th handle and wanted to install on the drivers side where a current handle doesn't exist. For this I measured the hole placement the same as the passenger front and drilled 2 holes in the plastic bezel then in the body of the Jeep.

Above: Using the same hardware, except for a #10x1-1/4" sheet metal screw for mounting the drivers side was also complete.

This is a great easy way to implrove your grab hangles. I have had many friends tugging and pulling on them since the install and they are strong as they were when I first put them in. I recommend this upgrade as it looks and functions great.

That was actually a good write-up Tim.  Nice job.

(Oh yeah, there is one better option – buy a Wrangler or CJ, the install won't require as much work).
