Hello all! My name is Emil and I just recently purchased a 2004 Rubicon to do some off roading with. It's also my DD so it's bone-stock right now, but I hope to be able to add a 4"-4.5" long arm kit (probably either Currie or RE) and some 33's before too long. Traded in my lifted '89 YJ and my '05 Dodge Ram to get it, and I love driving it and can't wait to get it on the trails. I live in Northern IL just west of Gurnee so if there are any Jeepers close by I'd love to meet y'all.

Some pics…

Next to my YJ before I sold it…

Thanks for looking!

Welcome Emil!  Nice Rubi.

I bought a '04 Rubi back in Jan (2010).  It had 24,000 miles on it and was obviously owned by someone who couldn't spell 'off road'.  Anyway, I'm in the process of modding it now.  There are a handful of Rubi owners here at DDO.  Be sure to checkout Rubicon Owners Forum for excellent tips, advise and people.

I look forward to meeting you at a DDO 'Run' event, or monthly Meet & Greet.

Welcome to the forum Emil. Nice looking Rubicon. The future mods sound awesome and I'm pretty sure everyone including yourself cant wait to see the end product. Jerry (oddball) is, in my opinion the Rubicon king, he knows a lot so if you have any questions I'm pretty sure he can help you out. Hope to see you at the newbie run or one of our meet and greets.

Ah shucks.  Laugh

Actually I'm far from "king" status but I've learned quite a bit from asking questions and searching topics over on Rubicon Owners Forum.

Thanks guys, I very much appreciate the welcome! I'm already a member of ROF and yes, there is lots of helpful info over there. I could get lost for days reading all that stuff.

I truly look forward to meeting y'all at (hopefully) the newbie run, sounds like that's where I would need to start anyway. I'm gonna do my best to be there, I'm really excited about it.

And if I have questions, I know who I need to go to now. Wink

Thanks for the warm welcomes! And rubi-06, that's what I'm hoping for as stock is all I can really afford at the moment. Well, I do have a winch and winch plate inbound to my house at the moment, so maybe that'll help me out of any binds I get into due to being stock.

Hey Joe, yes sir I was at the Newbie run, it was a blast. It was a pleasure wheeling with you and your Willy's edition Jeep too. Super nice rig, good luck finding that back seat. Take it easy and let me know if you want to hit the trails some time!
