Hey guys…
My name is Pete, I come from Wheaton. I've been wheelin for about 12yrs. I started with two Ford Explorers, left the sport and came back about 5yrs ago with a early bronco and traded it for my YJ. My YJ is nicely built with d44's out of an F250 and a Waggy. I've got 35in km2. Locked front and rear, winch, cage, and a bunch of lil stuff. I haul all this around with my Dodge 2500 CTD and 16ft car trailer. I've wheeled attica plenty of times and trailered to Moab twice which is normally a late spring trip for me. I'm more into the rocks because everything stays cleaner.
Just lookin for local people to wheel. Here's a few photos since everyone loves photos.

Hey Pete, Welcome to the Forum! Nice setup on the YJ. The D44s gotta come in handy. We wheel a lot in the midwest, but Moab is definitely a trip we'll be planning for the near future.
We've got a meet and greet tomorow. It'll be a good time to meet the group and find out more about our upcoming events. Hope you can make it. If not, see you on the trails.

Thanks guys. Looks like I won't be able to make it. I do spend quite a few weekends working so my weekends come and go. I'm gonna keep my eye on mid October to get some wheeling done either the 10th, weekend of 16-17 or the 23rd. I'd like to get one more trip in. Also, typically my Jeep does sit in storage. The gutless 4cyl wonder with the 5sp and 5.38 gears does get old. So, when it comes out, it comes out! Hopefully this fall, I'll be able to get together and we can do some wheelin.
Pete

Thanks… I've got an October weekend in mind to do some wheeling. I've got an 06 quad cab Laramie. Super plush. I may be selling it to my parents and downgrading to either a 97 ram CTD or an 02 F350 with the V10. I'm looking to lower my payments and overhead as in the next year, I'll hopefully be a home owner. I'll be doing more wheelin around here for sure then. No more long hauls for awhile then,

Mine is the Laramie as well, but it's paid for so no payments. Sorry to hear you may have to sell it but at least it's in the family.

A week from now, it all may be done. I love my dodge but don't need the luxo truck and the payments that go with it. At that, I'll still have plenty of power in a v10 and a nice interior. Both tow rig and jeep will be on 35's. Shell is gonna love me frequenting them! However, the dodge will still always be available to haul with. So, it's almost getting my cake and eating it too.

Sorry Tony
My parent's bought my dodge. They went for 25k which was under the value, but alot more than owed. It's fair considering, I'll still be using it to haul west. It's got more power and a 10 times better ride than my leaf sprung ford. So, it works out! I'll say, find an 03-04 CTD and you'll be happy! Less power, better milage.

Since people like photos and this truck sticks out (you may see me around), here's the new F350. It's a nice truck! Definately stiffly sprung and loves the fuel!

At that, due to some training, looks like I'll have weekends off from October-December. So, I should be able to make a meet and greet and get some wheeling in with you guys!
