Hey Down & Dirty Offroad…. My name is Austin and have been looking around at jeep clubs for a while now and have come around to seeing yours. I have been into jeeps ever since I can remember, my dad even had an old cj-7. I got my Jeep the second i got my license. Im 18 now and my Jeep is nicknamed Old Betsy because she is a 1992 but she still loves dirt mud and gunk. Let me get you a run down of the jeep. I'm riding in a 1992 Jeep Wrangler 6 cylinder , custom rear/front bumpers, Custom made rocker panels, 2.5" suspension lift, also a 3/4 inch shackle lift, 3 inch body lift, baja off-road lights, sitting on 15inch by 8 inch Unique 252 wheels. Soon to get 33/13.5/15 super swamper ltb's and is in need of a winch. I go offroading mostly on my property that is around 10 acres and well im looking to make this not just as much as a hobbie in the garage, and more on the trail. I was looking at your site and came across that you have a Newbie Run @ the Cliffs coming up and well, i know the cb radio deal and everything but other than all the tow points and everything i was wondering what i need to be able to participate in the run… THanks everyone and look forward to really getting involved in this great sport/hobbie.

Sounds like you already know what you need. A CB and a few good tow points. By the way… A 92 isn't that old. See ya out there.

I drive home via Cuba most days. Ever hear the rumors of it being haunted? I've been hearing them since high school 25 years ago. I bought my Tracker from a guy on Cuba where the one lane brige is. He claimed he could occasionally hear odd sounds coming from the bridge.

Ha yeah the old stories… ha my dad even tells me about them, and when i was in high school last year we would go on cold winter nights to "old White cemetery". Its a pretty funnky road, used to be used for gangsters back in the day "apparently". cool, im glad there are some people in this club that are local. And right where cuba and 14 meet there is a small single lane road through a forest. yeah thats my scary road also "apparently haunted" as well… oh and Keithert your talking about cuba down by quentin right? i think i know where that one lane brige is… also pretty scary.
