Hello,

Tim has been trying to get me to come out to a bunch of the DD Off Road events for a while so I can take pictures of all the stuff y'all do. I am currently waiting for kars4kids to come pick up my ride now so I can get a new one. Anyhow, Tim was gracious enough to let me borrow his Jeep when mine crapped out on me during Pitchfork Music Festival and I must have caught a bug after driving it around for a weekend.

He was over last night and I am already ordering parts online for a ride I don't even own yet. He thinks I am silly for doing so. Hopefully I'll be out there to meet up with y'all soon at cool places to take sweet pictures of stuff.

Joe

ICE CREAM CAKE!!!

I don't know how much off roading I will be doing in it, but I am planning on getting an 04 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4. I need to to haul a lot of my photo gear from venue to venue. I was looking for something that I can have 4 large pelican cases in the trunk or 2 cases side by side, room for luggage and 4 people comfortably for road trips for our photo touring events.

Yes, Tim is my friend, Tony is cool as heck, and I also know that one tall guy that I keep forgetting his name (John). Ha.

Things I already ordered was a 7" touch screen stereo head unit from JVC and a go rhino push guard because I like the tactical look. I was perusing through some ford forums regarding tire sizes and I was looking for the largest size tire I can get for a 3rd gen Explorer on a 16" wheel without having to get a lift.  But he had some custom built 3" body lift thingies on top of those 285/75/16.

Unfortunate that they don't make the body lifts easily available for the 3rd gen explorers. It looks nice.

I am thinking if I do come out, it'll be more to document your event and hopefully capture some sweet moments.

From this, you're looking at Fords?  Who would have thought?…

I need it first for transporting photo gear and a crew of people than actual off roading though.
