Hi every one. Im Mike, i live up in Grayslake and work in Arlington Heights. My friend and i were looking at joining your club. We should be able to come the the next meet and greet, as well as have our trucks ready for the newbie run coming up here. I have a 94 Cherokee. I have a rusty's 3in lift kit sitting in the garage as well as 30in tires. (got a great deal on them) thoes are going on this weekend. Then i just need to get some bumpers made up so i have tow points. my friend has a Hummer H1 dont know if we will bring that along because i dont know if any one could pull him out if he got stuck, lol. well i look forward to meeting you all soon.
Mike

Hey Mike, my name is Stephen, nice to meet ya. I live in Mt. Prospect, so I'm not far from Arlington Heights, lol. Everyone calls me by my last name, "Stich".
We would love to have you in our club, I am one of VERY few General Motor's riders, haha.
Definitely post pics before and after the lift and my winch can pull 9,500 lbs., lol. Unless your H1 is more than that, I could pull ya out. ;) Or split my frame down the middle trying, lmfao

And actually, with close to 100 trucks, I'm sure we could spare 5 of them to pull ya out. Hahaha

Dont worry i will take lots of pics. and to clarify the H1 is my friends. also the curb weight of it is about 10500LBS!! yes its that heavy. the pervious owner took out the desil and dropped a 7.2L 454 in it and that is where most of the problem are.

Hey there – I'm Andy, the buddy with the H1. I'm pretty excited about joining an off-road club and getting involved in off-roading. I'm defintly planning on participating in the newbie run as I have almost no experience wheeling yet. Figured I'd throw my intro on this thread since Mike basically introduced me in his first post.
I live in Grayslake and work in the loop and thankfully commute by train (10mpg on the H1, 95 miles round trip wouldn't be fun at $4.25/gal). My H1 is my first off-road vehicle and I've only had it since late last summer. Thankfully I have an alternate daily driver for when the big block is acting up or something new and unusual breaks (quite common, as I've found out). I throughly enjoy wrenching and can be found working on the H1 or Mike's XJ on any given weekend. Still considering dumping the big rig and getting an XJ since parts can be acquired a bit easier than the AMG.
Can't wait to get out to next month's meet and greet and see what D&D is all about!

Xjay98 – nothing yet. Still need to get it working right … won't hold timing right now. Replacing the cap/rotor/plugs/wires either this weekend or a weeknight next week. It's been a real PITA since the previous owner did the swap from the stock diesel to the Vortec 454 and I have no idea what donor truck was used. I though it was a '96-'00 K2500, but that uses a diff cap/rotor than I have on this one.
Oh yeah, that and this think is affectionatly called Frankenhummer for the wiring disaster they left me under the dash (crappy alpine security system – non functioning, plow kit wiring harness, various horribly wired lights, hackjob radio install, etc).

Lol, that's like my S10. The previous owner used her as a plow truck for 3 years, plus had the security system in her, lights wired up front and in the rear. I have so many DEAD wires hanging from my truck, looks like it's brains are oozing out, haha. 'Specially under the dash.
Welcome by the way and I am sure I speak with everyone that we are all looking forward to seeing the both of you at the M&G's!
