Hello! im kinda new to the jeep think. just bought 07 wrangler X. plan on to go on trails, tho i have no experience on the trails. Looking for a club to join to learn and have fun.

hey welcome… the names Austin. and i think you will be glad to look into this club. come check us out at one of our meet and greets theres one this saturday that i personally wont be at but plenty of people will be… so come by:) everyone is really freindly. i recently joined in december. so im new kinda too. but its a fun bunch of people to hang with. you can also learn alot. Welcome to the forum. My name is Matt Evans, go by Evans. I am one of the 3 managers in the club. Little background on the club, we have been here in Illinois for almost 3 yrs now and have been growing ever since. We have a great group of people in this club and we always have the best. Almost all of us started on stock tires, and there are a few that still run them. Don't underestimate a Jeep in stock form, it will suprise you.
I would recommend wheeling first before adding parts and not having any idea why you are choosing them. Buying the wrong parts can be a costly mistake. IMHO

I agree with Doug, buying the wrong lift, tires or whatever can piss you off and make you spend more money. I have done that a couple times with some Jeeps and did it this year with my trail ZJ (dont like the steering right now) and thats why I am changing my to over the knuckle steering and its going to cost me close to 400 bucks. So do research, do some more research and do some more research and then make your final decision. Check out other forums, like jeepforum, jkowner forum and just look through some of the builds that people have been doing so you can see other wranglers that are lifted. Cant wait to see the outcome.

oh yea done plenty of research. a part of jk forums and jeep forums. the tread i have on the now is gettin close to being bald. i checked out these guard dog retreads. i hear nothing but good things and also they said if a tire goes ur only out 85.90 dollars instead of 150-300. tires im going with is 265/75-16 so nothing to drastic. just a lil more meat to grab. lol but yea i havnt looked at lift kits but have been eyeing some quick discos. no idea if its a good idea or if i need them.
