It's basically a modern day treasure hunt – but there is no real treasure.  You go to http://www.geocaching.com and download geocache locations into a GPS unit.  Use that GPS to locate the cache – sign the logbook in the cache to prove you found it then log your finding back at geocaching.com for credit.  It is not as easy as it sounds.   Some caches have to be found by solving puzzles or riddles.  They can be as big as a large Tupperware container and as small as a pill.  They can be disguised or camouflaged and can be very difficult to find.  They can be in the city or on top of a mountain – they are everywhere.  Sometimes caches can have small trinkets to trade or they may contain a "travel bug" for you to take.  Travel bugs are designed to be moved from geocache to geocache then their travels are uploaded to the geocache website so they can be monitored.

Bottom line:  It is a good excuse to get your butt off the couch and do some exploring.
