What do you like to do other then this great hobby/sport. Mine is Civil War Reenacting. I have been unactive for a while but am planning on charging back into the ranks of the 154th Tennessee this year. Guess its going to be an expensive spring/summer, 4 wheeling and Civil War reenacting. If anyone would like to join the ranks with me let me know, its ton of fun, you meet great people and learn a lot, kind of like 4 wheeling. Yes, I am a closet Civil War buff.

^^^Wow!!^^^
A lot of nice stuff!
I spend a decent amount of time in the gym…I also play flag football every Sunday (going to the gym makes this so much easier when waking up on Monday's). I spent about 6 years in a gigging band in the city…got tired of the bs and set up a studio to make music on my own…kinda put that aside as of late..but do enjoy it when I have the time.
Still get my bike on the trails in the summer when I'm not fishin'. Love cigars (good ones) and good beers (imperial ipa's/stouts).
Intend on learning how to turn a wrench and navigate a trail this summer…

I started this long before I had a son and now I no longer have a sense of immortallity. I'll probably sell it in the early summer to finance the Bronco and start on my buggy.

I've been delving into photography a lot lately. So much that in the past year, I've gotten away from point-and-shoot automatic pictures, and have progressed to manual photography. I'm now in the market for a good DSLR camera with a couple of high quality lenses so that I can learn more. My current camera has some manual function capabilities, but I've surpassed what it can do.
I've been involved in dance for 23+ years – teaching, taking classes, performing. I suppose you could say this is a hobby, but it's more like a lifestyle.
The jeep stuff is still a relatively new hobby for me – just around 2 years with the KJ, and still learning all the time about wrenching and wheeling.

Since I no longer drag race and my boating hobby is coming to a end soon, I wanted to edit my original post but wasn't able to.
I have been a avid "gearhead" since high school. I won't say how long that has been (some of you may not have been born then). Anyway, I own a original 1969 Camaro SS 396. But this isn't just any Super Sport Camaro. It has full documentation that it is a Nickey Chevrolet car. Nickey Chevrolet was a legendary Chevrolet dealer in Chicago that built "super cars" much like Yenko Chevrolet and Baldwin Chevrolet. I am the second owner. The original owner was a mechanic who turned wrenches at Nickey for 28 yrs. And although he didn't opt to do the "Super Car" mod which was pullling the 396 and installing a L88 427, he did add aftermarket items to the suspension and engine thru the dealership. Behind the 396 Big Block is a Muncie "M-22 Rockcrusher" 4 spd tranny and a GM 12 Bolt rearend with the original dealer installed 4.10 gears. I've been harassed (literally) for a few years now by several people wanting me to sell the car because I rarely drive it. But I can't. This was as much "my baby" as it was my late wife's. For almost two decades we enjoyed cruise nights & shows.

So other than my classic muscle car, the only other real hobby I currently still enjoy is fly fishing. I've been casting flies since my dad taught me as a young boy. For those curious, yes I can tie flies. I've enjoyed both fresh and salt water fly fishing. The last time I was in the Bahamas. I hit what is known as the "Grand Slam". This is catching & releasing a Bonefish, Tarpon and Permit all in one outing. They claim it is harder to do than make a Golf hole-in-one on a professional course.
I've resized the images twice now for posting but they stlll appear too large. If someone can fit them properly here, I sure will appreciate it. – Thanks.

Before I got into offroading my dad got me into older cars/hot rods. We have four older vehicles between us, 1979 Ford F100 pickup, 1966 Ford F100 pickup, 1949 International , and last but not least a 1929 Model a Ford sedan. the 66 and the International are future projects the 76 took us two years to redo and the 29 sedan is being built now, custom frame six inch chop and all other kinds of goodies should be at world of wheels this year not done but close to it.

I'm into all kinds of cars and bikes. I have an 06 Mazda MX-5 and an 02 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500. Having too many interests means that none of them really get developed since there is only so much money to spend on vehicles in the budget.

To many hobbies to list…
I play a lot of video games, drinking and going to as many friends shows as possible.
I do a lot of wrenching on cars, 4x4s and motorcycles although right now I'm kind of between projects and broke when it comes to my own stuff but I stil work on friends junk from time to time.
I am very active in the Chicago cycling community and work with a local orginization that helps at risk and underprivleged youth earn bicycles and learn how to ride them safely and maintain them.
I also build freak bikes and ride them as much as possible. This year or next I am going to try and get into building custom steel frame bicycles as well.

This was my most recent freak bike, two British three speeds built into one tall bike with a functioning 3 spd in the back and full fenders. Chick dug it but sadly it got clipped by scrappers and is no more.

My day job is working with computers and networking (systems admin), and I do the same kind of stuff at home for fun on my own time. I like messing around with weird computer hardware, and have a pile of older Sun Microsystems workstations and servers in my basement. I host web sites and email for a few different folks out of the basement as well.
The main hobby now is getting back into offroading. I lived in Colorado for a short time about eight years ago, and had an '84 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4 with the 6.2L diesel. Took it out a couple times on trails in the mountains, and had a blast. Sold the K5 after moving back to the midwest, and now have the offroad bug again.

Where do I start?
Other than trying to break my Jeep I like to fix things or at least try to. Personally I'm into woodworking, my yard work, and fishing. I too play with computers and maintain two websites that I run from my basement. Donna and I together enjoy riding our Harley's, camping, and Geocaching.

As some of you know Donna and I lost our youngest son, Alex when he was 17 years old to Menningococcal Meningitis. So the most important thing we do is try to educate parents on what Meningitis is and how to protect their children from it. We currently run a website to spread knowledge (Http://www.theknutters.com) and work with a nonprofit organization called Meningitis Angels. I'm proud to say in 2009 we organized a 5K Walk and raised over $10,000 for Meningitis research, had our story published in a magazine, stared in a video presentation, and have been invited to Washington DC this July to help support Frankie and her Meningitis Angels foundation.
