Like the title says, whats your best, most useful, cant wheel without it mod??
Besides selling my jeep and getting a toyota , would be the rear locker although not technically a mod since the truck came with it. My other one would be my crawl/reduction box. Low gears are irreplaceable on the trail, it saves my clutch, maintains control and with the lack of low end grunt of the 3.4 it allows me to actually idle up stuff. With the 4.7:1 in the reduction box i have: Factory high, factory low, "medium" low 4.7:1 both 2wd and 4wd, and finally crazy low which is 12:1.

So far, its my wheels and tires. Specifically, my KM2's. I love these things, they are awesome on the road cause they give you a smooth and fairly quiet ride, and offroad they did extremely well. I've only taken them offroad once at The Cliffs, but I can't wait to wheel them offroad again! Next mod, will probably be my Rough Country lift.

My favorite mod so far is converting a 1989 Honda Prelude Si into a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo.

My favorite and most important mod was going from a '02 KJ (Liberty) to a '04 Rubicon!

Rokmen 1/4" steel Tummy Tuck and gas tank skid. Now I don't have to cringe when I land on them.

I would have to say my favorite is the electric fans, I didnt really need to get the ones I did, But they helped me fall back in love with my Jeep by getting rid of that terrible drone. Now I can actually hear my intake and exhaust!!

Redneck ram and Hydraulic steering assist. I know… I know … I broke it at the badlands but that was due to a broken hose and a busted steering shaft. But being able to steer 36in tires with one finger is awesome.
@Moparboy, That stinger bumper is redonkeylious. I gotta see it at work sometime.

My favorite mods within the past two weeks:
One of four new 15x8 steel wheels that FIT my hubs! Now, what tires to get? 31x10.5x15 something-or-other, and it won't be retreads I've decided. Unfortunately, that means the credit card is going to get melted.

How about that brand spankin' new floor in the rear? (Fuel cell is being removed)

The pimp interior with the bottom section of the dash removed.

LOTS of spray foam added today under the new floor in prep for some sanding and a rubberized coating that will be applied tomorrow sometime. If the bottom goes well with the rubber coating, I'll do the same for the interior. Sealing up the cab so exhaust and water don't get in, and to make the new floor last as long as possible. LOTS of holes to plug!
(Edited: Took out pics of my poorly executed modifications)

It's going to stay inside the cab from here on out. The stock tank was pretty much destroyed, and the rot underneath the rear makes me not want to put a new tank back in the stock location.

Maybe not. I forgot about emissions junk, so this isn't legal if I want to drive it on the road. Guess I'll have to figure out how to get a new tank and mount the stupid thing before the Dunes trip.
Oh, well. It's only money.
Edited:
Thank goodness for rockauto.com! Ordered a new tank and straps tonight. I should have checked on the whole fuel cell thing before I got all excited about having all that open space under the Jeep. Oh, well. Lesson learned.
