Sorry we didn't make it to the Meet & Greet. Took longer than expected for the dealer to prep our new tow vehicle. Decided to trade in my JK and make the Beast a trailer queen. Now the hard part finding a trailer with a 10k rating for a good price around here. Let us know if you see anything we should check out.
2011 FX4 with 7700 lb GVWR, 11300 lb tow rating, 17100 lb GCWR. We got the Ecoboost V6 with 420 lb torque and 365hp.

Tony,
It's an amazing engine, twin turbos and direct injection. I was looking at the 5.0 V8 but when I watched the 6 torture test videos I was sold on the EcoBoost. The full throttle race against the RAM and GMC V8s up a 6% grade pulling a 9000# trailer after putting over 160,000 miles on it was the kicker. Check out the videos here .
ES,
Thanks, yeah it's been a while.
Wee,
Going to try. The beast needs a new throw-out bearing, it's squealling non stop. I just found-out I have a 14mm tear in my rotator cuff so I won't be wrestling around with the trans. I'm trying to find a place I trust for decent price to fix it.

If you bring that to the opener I'll have to take a ride in it with your trailer in tow. Or hook up my trailer and see how it does. I've been in the truck market for awhile and have been looking at older diesels but now after checking this out, I'm starting to rub my eyes. The numbers are amazing, I would love to see it in real life.

I so want to hook a trailer up and give it a good testing. I was reading the book last night. It has a black box that records events. You can program different trailers into the Brake controller and then it remembers the gain settings and total miles you've pulled each trailer. It also states not to tow for the first 1000 miles and then for the first 500 towing miles no full throttle acceleration and not to go over 70mph. Since we plan to keep this for a awhile we got the Ford 7yr - 100,000 mile warranty. I don't want to give them a reason to refuse a repair. So we'll have to do the test a little later. It currently only has 300 miles on it.
On a side note, this rain sucks. I won't be able to get the Beast ready for Saturday. I've got a long list of mods I'm in the middle of: York based OBA, Lightforce HID driving lights, Cibie headlights and of course the throw-out bearing.
We have a camper at Summers camp ground, 10 minutes from the BadLands and are there most weekends starting late April. So anytime you want to head to the BadLands let me know.
Hope you guys have a great time Saturday!
