Hello,
I live in Norridge, IL. I got a lift kit thanks the Andrew ( Once again, THANK YOU), I was wondering if anyone would have time on the weekend to help me install it. Idon't have any spring strechers or whatever you need to install the lift kit. I do have basic tools like sockets and ranches. Thank you.
Thanks

I think you are thinking of a spring compressor which, if needed, can be borrowed for free (well with a CC deposit) from most parts stores.
However, truth be told for a 2" spacer, or spring, lift you should be able to just disconnect the shocks, steering and track bar then jack the other side of the axle up and get it to droop enough to get the springs out and back in. I have never had to use a spring compressor for lifts under 4.5" but your mileage may vary.

You may as well rent the compressor just incase. What kind of Jeep is this being installed on?

I have a spring compressor. and the drive doesn't look that bad. what day are you planning on doing the work?
I also have a large set of travel tools right now due to not having access to my own garage.
you have coils all around right?

This Sunday would be great. I have four rubber spacers, if that's what you mean by coils. Mysuspension is completely stock, about two months ago I replaced all the shocks for new ones, but they are factory ones. If anyone would be interested in helping me sunday evening around 4 or 5 I would appreciate it a lot.
Thanks

thats a JF link on someone who did it and brought up a good point
your gonna want to replace your stock shocks soon as they wernt meant to be run with a budget boost,
they will most likely limit your suspension travel some since they wont be tall enough
but you can run them for a while

Stock shocks are not going to be long enough. If you wheel that way you will bottom out the shocks and tear them out. I though all the BB's came with shocks?

So did I, they usually do come with new shocks. He could just do the shock extensions, I think BDS makes them, not sure though, or just go on Rusty's and order some new shocks, they're only $33.00 each.

You can run stock shocks with a 2" inch budget boost, they are long enough for 2 inches, I wheeled with the 2inch spacers and stock shocks before and encountered no problems whatsoever. Its really easy to do also. You dont really have to disconnect the trackbar but it does help a great deal.
BTW, I gave you a call the other day, and left you a message, in response to your message on here…didn't get a return call, whats up with that?! Haha, just kiddin…but I just wanted to let ya know.
