Last time I entered World of Wheel's, was back in '79.

Yes, those would be Old Style beer cans I utilized as chain posts.

For a number of reasons I never returned as a participant after that.  Although it had nothing to with the show back then, the next time I attended the World of Wheels event was back in 2000.  The show sucked.  I commented to a couple of friends who were with me that the show isn't what it once was.

Since then, I've occasionally run into people commenting the same thoughts since I was last there.  So no, I won't be attending.

On a side note, if you guys and girls would like to attend a great car show (approx 1000 vehicles every year) the show in Sycamore could be a great time for us to show & shine our 4x4's.  I have a '69 SS Camaro I've entered in the show on & off the past several years.  Personally, I garage the camaro out in the sycamore area and could have a local friend bring it to the show while I bring my Rubi.  The show is held the end of July / early Aug.  Just a thought.

For those interested, my other "baby" is a original 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Super Sport – L89 car.  396 cubic inch 375 horsepower.  M-22 Rockcrusher 4-speed.  GM 12 bolt w/ 4.10 gears.  I possess full documentation the car is a original Nickey Chevrolet muscle car.  For those who don't know what means, Nickey was a Chevy dealer who built "Super Cars" in the mid 60's to early 70's in Chicago.  Much like Baldwin Chevy in NY and Yenko Chevy in Pennsylvania.  I am the second owner, the original owner was a mechanic at the dealership for something like 25 years.  He was terminally ill and decided to sell this numbers matching SS Camaro to me.  Today I drive it maybe 2 or 3 times during the summer and people bug me all the time to sell it.  I can't bring myself to do it even though I've been offered insane money.
