While we welcome anyone to create a username and join are forum, we are not a 'forum' club. We host at least 2 club events each month and have a very active member base. We welcome all off-road enthusiasts and our forum users to become official members of the club. As read from Article III of our bylaws here's how membership with DDO works:
Article III – Membership and Dues
1. Owners of ALL make and models of four-wheel drive vehicles are eligible for membership in the Down & Dirty Offroad Club. (Management may grant exceptions)
2. Each membership includes the immediate family*, however, voting power is restricted to one vote per dues paying member eighteen years of age and over.
- Unless family member wishes to register his/her vehicle with the Club separately.
- Membership includes a single member having multiple vehicles.
3. All members must conduct themselves in a respectable and orderly fashion whether in or out of Club activities. Any members disgracing themselves in the public eye will be subject to immediate expulsion from the Club, subject to decision of club management.
4. Applicants for membership must be at least eighteen years of age (exceptions may be made by decision of the management with parental consent), must hold a valid driver’s license, and must have a minimum of property liability (PL) & property damage (PD) insurance coverage on their vehicles.
5. An application form must be completed and sent to management along with remittance for the current year’s dues before membership may be granted. Following review of each application by management, the applicant will be notified as to their acceptance.
6. Dues for this organization shall be $30 per membership per year, payable in advance. Any member whose dues are two months in arrears shall be dropped from the roles of this organization.
7. Membership renewal will fall on two payment dates will be provided by management on the bases on the join date of each member.
- Members who’s join date falls from January 1 to June 30 will renew dues in a group in March.
- Members who’s join date falls from July 1 to December 31will renew dues in a group in July.
8. Any member absent from all club functions, meetings or trail rides, within a year of membership shall be dropped from the roles of this organization. Management may grant exceptions.
9. All personal expenses such as additional t-shirts, decals, etc., that are not covered in the membership dues shall be born by each individual and are not to be arranged for in any manner by the club.
10. Resignation of any member shall be in writing and submitted to the club management.
11. When a member no longer possesses a four-wheel drive vehicle, their membership in this organization shall terminate. Management may grant temporary exemptions.
12. Any member violating the club bylaws, regulations, forum rules and club values will be granted one verbal warning by management about their actions. If violations continue to occur, membership will be terminated without refund of dues.
In short, you must have a 4×4 truck or SUV, willingness to participate in club events and pay $30 dues to join. While we have no vehicle requirements to join, we do have requirements to participate in club events so please see our Offroad Guidlines on the forum.
