If anyone in the Rockford area is bored and wants to help/watch/consume my beer while making fun of my lack of skills, call or txt me @ 8153176814 for directions.

I'm heading to Farm and Fleet for stuff, and will start work around 1pm or so.  I'm going to install my new fuel tank, then put the new rims and tires on the Jeep and make sure everything fits properly.  I have to take all of my steering components off of the front end (control arm, tie rods, steering arm) and hunt down some replacements.  I have two new doors that I would like to get on the Jeep before the Dunes trip as well (anyone know how to change locks in car doors?).  New hood latch hardware to be installed so I can get rid of my lame external hood latches, among about 50 other little things I'd like to do (install CB, yank more unneeded wiring, clean up the interior, etc).

More than likely I will be working tomorrow as well.

Well, everyone missed lots of swearing, a lot of head scratching, and many trips to the parts store.  Laugh

Well, I'm going to drop the tank again (because it's SO much fun) and see if I can get the float on the sending unit to work a little better.

I also need to shorten some fuel lines and clean up everything in front of the fuel tank from the fuel cell conversion.

I have a leaky brake line that needs to get fixed today, and I'm going to shoot the bottom of the new floor with some kind of rubberized weather coating to hopefully keep the rust from attacking all that new metal.

I might hit the fuel tank with some brake cleaner and rubberize that too, or at least hit the bottom.

New hood latches still need to be installed.

Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can get it in to a local shop for exhaust and an alignment.

After that, all that's left is to get recovery points on the front and rear, and maybe work on some doors.

If anyone is bored, my offer from Saturday stands.  I might even grill out tonight!  Laugh

Yard work and cleaning out the garage sucked the life outta me.  I did manage to get my fuel lines shortened and put back together, but that was about all I did.  I'll drop the tank and paint when I get the j-bolts!  No sense in dropping the tank any more than necessary.

Took the beast out for a romp through the neighborhood to scare all the old ladies and small children before calling it a day.  This thing really needs a new exhaust. Wink

Oh, I'm way ahead of you already.  This thing has an exhaust that's about 5' in total length, ending in a Cherry Bomb glass pack.  Too loud for my tastes.
