Little words of wisdom from a guy who is more wise then I am. "If you're going to put a gas tank inside, get a fuel cell". I had a fellow offroader put his stock gas tank inside the cab and then was hit with a bunch of problems; First, gas tank was rusty and instead of fixing it up he just stuck it in there. In the process of dropping the tank, and then persuading it into place, it formed a leak and drips gasoline all over the place. It wasn't vented right so even with the leak fixed it still smelled like gasoline in the cab.
I thought a lot about putting a fuel cell in the back of my CJ, but decided against it. As you know, there isn't much room in a Jeep, and once you put a fuel cell back there, you can kiss all your storage (or a good portion of it) goodbye. I would recommend fixing your tank and investing in a good gas tank skid plate. Good Luck

FYI, fuel cells are not DOT approved (at least none that I've ever seen), and are not emissions legal either. For a Jeep that will run on the street, you are probably safer running an OEM tank in the stock location. I had an in-cab fuel cell in my Jeep for a weekend, before I figured out a few things.
A trail only vehicle is an entirely different matter.

So…this is my first post to the forum. I had a great time at the run. And thanks, Brad, for stinking around to help with my tire. Looks like I knocked it off the bead a bit and got some wood chips stuck under there. And when i bought the tires, apparently they used some kind of vehicle mounted nuclear powered compressor/impact combo because I bent my lug wrench and still couldn't get the wheel off. I made it to the gas station and got a can of fix-a-flat. That got it to hold at about 20 psi and I made it home. Took it to the tire shop this morning and they took the tire off, cleaned it and put it back on. Looking good so far. I also had them use their impact wrench to loosen all the other lug nuts and torque them back on. Tonight I'm replaceing all the Jeep lug nuts with their flimsy chrome caps with solid steel ones.
Now, the reason for this post. I shot some photos and video. 6 pics at about 1.5 – 1.8 MB and 24 HD video clips in AVCHD format at about 20 – 134 MB each. The easiest thing would be to put them on a flash drive and bring it to the Meet & Greet In Feb. then they could be uploaded to the site in whatever form is best. Does that work? Or do you prefer something else?

The meet and greet would work fine. Tim would be able to upload the videos and pictures, unless you would rather email him the pictures at least which is tim@ddoffroad.com. Glad to hear you had a good time, minus the whole tire problem.
