Since Mother Nature has been much kinder to us this week - is anyone interested in hitting the Cliffs this Saturday (July 31)?
I plan on being there at 10AM with at least 4 Wranglers from the Kenosha area.

I'll have to check with the wife. I've been working late all week, so I haven't spent much time at home with the family lately. She's outta town next weekend, so I think she should let me go!

Jeff, when are you and the WI crew heading around Rockford? I can meet up with you and ride down with the group tomorrow AM. I can meet you on 39 south of Rockford if that helps.

I really really want to get out and wheel…but now it was brought to my attention that i have about a 2in play in my rear pinion….mechanic said that if i were to go wheeling i may break my pinion and ring. Basically shear off the teeth. I WANNA GO WHEELIN SO BAD!!
it's sooo frustrating that i finally got my transfer case in ..and now have 4 wheel drive…i cant go wheeling!! ugh!

2002 Chevy Blazer Zr2 6in lift, 2in body lift, 35in BFG's, Airaid system, and some other stuff. Workin on a solid front axle swap for future.

Sorry Dan we are no where near Rockford – I'm on the WI / IL state line about 4 miles west of Lake Michigan. We'll be taking 294 south to I-55 then over on I-80 so I'd be coming from the east. I see some bad weather is expected at the cliffs tonight but it is the first rain since last week so the trails should be good. I have not heard from the rest of my group yet but I'll go by myself if I have to - I have a free weekend and plan on enjoying it. Just sent Text messages to everyone – waiting for replies…

OK so far I have confirmed that three of us from the Wisconsin team are going for sure and we do have one winch.
Looks like 2 more from DDO – going to be a small group, anyone else?
Lets meet in the parking lot at 10AM, no driver's meeting (unless Earl wants to try again) - my cell is 262-818-5282 incase anyone is running late lets keep the CB's on 21 in the spirit of the group.

Hey Dan – I was just told on Jeep Forum that Rt 6 is closed between Marseillies and the Cliffs. Here is a paste of what he told me:
"F.Y.I. Go through Seneca (if you weren't going to already), Rt. 6 is closed between Marseilles and the Cliffs."
From what I gather since Marseillies is west of the Cliffs this would effect your route not mine because we drive through Seneca to get there.
Also heard from some other guys on JF that will be there – they'll be on CH 10 if we want to join in with them.

That was fun, thanks guys for coming out there! That Clay sure gets slippery when it its wet. Got some cleaning to do today but not as bad as it was when we went in April.
Damage report: Broken license plate mount, bashed in bumper "Bucket", and small dent in the tub, Nothing like some trail scars to add character. Good news is my DDO sticker was untouched!
 
So when are we going 4 wheeling again?

I know what you mean — I will be selling my hitch when I replace the rear bumper.
