Ok, so its time to start deciding if you will be attending the Dune Days trip as campsites at the state park fill up fast. We recommend getting your site in advance so you dont lose your chance. If you wait til the last minute, you WILL NOT get a space in the campground with the rest of the club. Here's how it works….

Sites are $30/night in the state park campground. They have nice bathrooms and electrical.

We usually get sites close to eachother so we can easilly hang out and grill out

Sites are allowed 4 adults, 2 tents and 2 vehicles so you will definately want to share to split the costs.

Go to http://www.midnrreservations.c…..hPark.aspx to check out the sites. Select Silver Lake State Park and go from there.

We will let you know what sites the Wisemen get ASAP so you can start getting ones close, but we will be in the 'North Campground.' We will be camping the nights of June 11 and 12.

Ok, the Wisemen have reserved sites 75, 77 and 33 which all border eachother. You will want to team up since 2 vehicles can be put at each site. This also means that the 3 of us each have space for one more vehicle. Let us know if you are interested. Splitting would only be $30 for the weekend.

Remeber, 2 vechiles are allowed per site, so not everyone needs to reserve one. Right now we have 5 total sites enough for 10 vehicles. Can we get a headcount right now of who else is coming?

Amanda and I are coming for sure. Do I need to reserve my spot? Or would someone like to split it with us? We are only bringing one Jeep to this run, the JK.

I just reserved Site 30.  The map link did not work so I hope we are close…   I reserved a site because most State Parks consider my Motorhome a vehicle so with the Jeep thats probably the limit.  If not we don't mind sharing though, the site is 45X55 so there will be plenty of room.

So who got site 75 and are they challenged?

Just so you all know there are not many sites left!  Tim you guys might want to make sure the site 33 & 35 issue is OK.

Yes, you won't have a problem at all. As long as you air down your tires, you can do the whole park.

Badlands is a maybe right now.  I'm working as fast as I can to get this Jeep ready for some long haul driving so I can do all the places you guys go.  I'm going to rebuild the front axle (steering/suspension) before I hit the road, and I still have to take care of the gaping holes in the rear, put a real exhaust on the thing, and fix a leak in the gas tank (leaks when it's over 3/4 full from sending unit, I believe).

After beating on the thing today and making some progress, I found a really tiny leak on my lower radiator hose, so I probably have to drain the coolant and replace that hose.  Will probably do all of them, since most of them look original.  *sigh*

This thing will be the death of my bank account.  :-)

Oh yeah, and I still have to get a different set of rims and newer tires.  Whee!
