Our monthly gathering of DDO members and fans but this time outside with mother nature in the Busse Woods forest preserve. We'll spend the day together eating, conversing and playing games. This will be pot-luck style so bring a dish to pass. Look for us at Grove #1 just west of Arlington Hts Rd. on Higgins Rd. and feel free to invite family, friends and fellow off-roaders. Sign up for items to bring HERE.

Yes. You just can't drink in the roadway like we once did back in the day.
On a side note;
I shared a few stories regarding Busse Woods back in the late 70's with members of this club last year. To make long stories short, the place was cleaned up after it got out of control when the (then) head of the Cook County Forest Preserve warned it's residents to keep your families out of there until he could clean it up. Today Busse Woods is considered "family friendly". That first Grove west of Arlington Heights road on the soutside was legendary and some of the things that happened there would shock you – and maybe scare a few of you too. But I digress.

A side note from FacePlant regarding the confusion on the "Grove / spot number"….. The club does have hand held CB's now so IF you have a CB in your rig and you are lost, just try channel 22 for directions. That is assuming one or more of the Kick booty Moderators will have the hand helds..handy.

Doug, if you have exchanged your tank recently, it should be an OPD valve. Does it have threads on the outside and the inside? How old is the grill?

Since it appears that a member has left the club, we will also bring a 24 case of beer (Coor's Light) to make up for theirs and our portable gazebo for some shade.
